GTI Geomaster

Description

GTI Geomaster is a computer aligner for vehicles of up to 3,5 ton gvw and with wheel rims ranging from 12" to 20".

GTI Geomaster comes in three options, all of which use the same software:

  • GTI Geomaster Standard- uses cables to power the measuring units and for communication between the units and the and the central unit. Comes with  a cabinet.
  • GTI Geomaster Specjal- uses cables to power the measuring units and for communication between the units and the and the central unit. Comes with  a trolley.
  • GTI Geomaster Radio- uses batteries to power the measuring units and Blurtooth for communication between the units and the and the central unit. Comes with  a cabinet.

GTI Geomaster makes easy measuring the geometry of wheels and chassis in passenger cars, minivans and also lcv's, with wheel rim diameter ranging from 12" to 22". The machine has four measuring units with altogether eight potentiometric sensors. It can also be used, however, as a two-unit device, where two front measuring units are used for measurements with reference to the axis of symmetry.

The whole measurement process is done by computer software and can be followed on the LCD display. There is the option of four-point run-out compensation, which means that any rim deformation or imprecisely mounted clamps will not affect the result of the measurement. Further, the option to use a quick-clamping type of clamps means that run-out compensation can, in some cases, be skipped altogether. GTI Geomaster is compatible with electronic and mechanical turntables alike.

GTI Geomaster's main assets:

  • entirely new measuring algorithm - significantly shortens the measurement process. A complete measurement (excluding the preliminary steps: mounting the clamp, the measuring units, run-out compensation, etc.) can take, depending on the technician's skill, below two minutes. The software calculates caster and king-pin inclination angles without the need to read the turntables' scales, even when mechanical turntables are used. All the necessary data is taken from the measuring units' sensors,
  • battery-powered measuring units - eliminates the power cables tangle. The batteries guarantee minimum eight hours of work without recharging. Once measuring units are placed back in the docks on the cabinet or trolley, the batteries are recharged,
  • Bluetooth connectivity - all the data from the sensors is sent to the central unit via Bluetooth modules, thus eliminating the necessity to use cables. The data is sent very frequently which means means that the technician can see the measured values on the screen as they change in real time, which, in turn, makes the whole measurement and adjustment procedure a lot quicker.(Radio version only),
  • quick diagnostics option, which lets the technician read all the basic parameters on one display page, without doing any turns with the steering wheel,
  • the function that shows the difference between left and right side for the camber and caster parameters,
  • eight sensors extend the scope of measurement to additional measurements, such as the so-called panel-beater measurements that give the full view of the steering system condition,
  • real-time levelness check ensures that the measuring units are level at all times and that measurement results are error-free,
  • remote conttrol option,
  • vehicle database (more than 2900 models) allows the technician to keep a record of customers as well as print the measurement results,

What it's for

GTI Geomaster is a computer aligner for vehicles of up to 3,5 ton gvw and with wheel rims ranging from 12" to 20". The use of computer and sensors with increased accuracy means that the measurement results are very precise and repeatable. The aligner can be used to check passenger cars, minibuses as well as lcv's.

GTI,thanks to its universal accessories, can be used in any kind of garage or repair centre. All that is needed is a hard, level floor and, optionally, an inspection pit (for making adjustments to the car) or a lift (four-post or scissor type).

The device has a function that is called "Quick overhaul", which allows the technician to make a superficial assessment of the vehicle's condition, without having to go through the actual automatic measurement. This, however, is only a rough measurement that does not contain all the parameters. If a specific car model has been selected, the measured values are displayed in colours that suggest their correctness or incorrectness in comparison to that model's factory default settings.

GTI has advanced operating software that makes it possible to measure additional parameters (e.g. the so-called panel-beater measurement). This, in turn,gives the technician complete and comprehensive information on how the individual suspension components are positioned with respect to one another.

GTI Geomaster measures the following parameters:

Notes:

The function "rear axle angles adjustment" allows the technician to simultaneously observe and adjust the toe, half-toe and camber angles for each wheel. It is also possible to go on from here to adjusting camber angles on a raised vehicle.

The function "front wheel vertical angles adjustment" allows the technician to simultaneously observe and adjust the toe, half-toe and cater angles.

Here, it is also possible to move on to adjusting camber on a raised vehicle.
GTI Geomaster-Radio

How it works

The measurement process in GTI Geomaster makes use of specialist electronic sensors. For the measurement of horizontal angles, the sensors are connected with elastic cables; the vertical angles are measured with opto-electronic gravitational sensors.

The measured values are displayed directly on the computer screen. Run-out compensation of the clamp-wheel arrangement is a four-point one, which eliminates any errors there may be that result from deformation of the wheel rims or inacurate clamp mounting. The computer software may run in an automated mode, prompting the technician with commands in a step-by-step fashion, or the technician can choose only the functions he wants.

The aligner can be operated using the computer keyboard or the remote control and, when going through run-out compensation, by means of the buttons in the measuring units.

ITS Certificate

Measurement report print-out

Each measurement report can be printed in an unlimited number of copies. The report includes the factory-recommended angle values, the initially measured values and the final measurement report - after the adjustments have been made. The values that are different from those recommended by the manufacturer are highlighted.
